Gualtallary
It is not just an origin, it is a natural manifesto that defines the character of our wines.
Where altitude reigns supreme, and not always gently.
Located in the heart of Tupungato, in the Uco Valley, this district represents one of the most extraordinary terroirs in the country. Here, altitude —over 1,300 meters above sea level— converges with alluvial soils low in organic matter and a thermal amplitude that patiently shapes the rhythm of ripening.
Every element of the environment forms a balance that can only be achieved at the margins: intense light, clean air, meltwater, and stony soils that force the vine to deepen its roots in search of sustenance.
The cold climate —Winkler II—, the calcareous soils with excellent drainage, and the scarce rainfall create a controlled stress on the plant, which responds with concentrated grapes, natural acidity, deep aromas, and firm tannins. Here, ripening is slow. Time does not impose itself — it accompanies.
But Gualtallary cannot be understood solely from a technical perspective.
It is a landscape that makes an impact. It changes the body and the spirit. The light, the air, the silence. Everything operates on a higher level—literally and symbolically.
It is a place that demands pause, contemplation, and attentive listening.
This is where our wines are born, as small expressions of an extreme yet harmonious ecosystem.
A place that calls for pause, contemplation, and attentive listening. A landscape that speaks with its own voice.

"In a world full of noise,
I want to make a wine that invites silence."
